Refer your Patients to Research
Do you work with patients with aphasia or alexia? Refer them to our Reading after stroke and in typical aging (ReadMap) study! In this study, we will look at how reading changes in healthy aging and after stroke. Understanding specific types of reading problems and how people get better over time is the first step toward finding new ways to treat alexia. This study includes reading, language, and cognitive testing and an optional MRI.
Tell your patients about our study by sharing our flyer! To refer patients to us directly, complete this brief secure form. You will receive $25 for every two patients that you refer that complete our screening process!
Refer your Patients to an Aphasia Neurologist
Dr. Turkeltaub is a neurologist that specializes in working with patients with aphasia. His appointments focus on:
Understanding the nature of the aphasia and the prognosis for recovery
Managing common medical issues in people with aphasia
Enhancing life participation
Medications for cognition and aphasia
Research studies
He coordinates care with the treating speech-language pathologist. You can share his clinic flyer with your patients!
